I personally own a 2007 Trailblazer SS with the 4L70E Transmission that the whole world knows is weak and GM replaces them everyday. Come and test drive mine and see for yourself what our upgrades can do for you. My last vehicle was a 2005 Silverado SS with the 4L65E Transmission. It only had 230 miles on it when I removed the unit and added the upgraded parts. The transmission has lasted over 3 years of daily hammering without any issues at all. I am confident the truck will last many, many more years without any problems. It is not uncommon to hear folks say they have been through many, many transmissions on these trucks. They just weren't designed to be abused like we like to do. The units the dealerships put back in are just your normal, everyday "rebuilt" units without any updates or upgrades.
